Tips To Use
*When your pet is sick - Use the healing springs. If you use one of the wheels and get a disease, the medicine is ALWAYS expensive. Whenever anything is in high demand, people charge a fortune for it - the healing springs may take a few times to heal your pet, but it surely will and that will save you a lot of neopoints.
*When new items come out - Don't buy them from peoples shops!! Unless you can get them from the main Neopets shops, these items are items you can wait for. People who get new items first put ridiculous prices on things, yet a week later, you can get the same item for so much less. Patience is the key!!
*Feeding your pet - Buy omelettes........SIMPLE! Because people get them for free, they sell them for 30np or less. You can feed your pet THREE TIMES on one omelette......how good is this!?!?! Why waste 100np for a single food item when you can pay 30np for a piece of food that feeds your pet three times.
*Stocking Your Shop - Most items are more expensive in the main shops. The market has already been flooded with the most common items. Buy from other peoples shops - saves a LOT of neopoints!!
*Quests and Prices - Once you receive your quest, from whichever faerie you've chosen, check the shop wizard for ALL of the items the quest asks for. Some might be cheap, then another may cost 1000s of neopoints. Most faerie quests aren't worth it. I never complete a quest that costs more than 5000np. Otherwise its cheaper to send your pet to the training school.
*Spending NP on Map Pieces - I've seen a lot of people waste a fortune collecting map pieces. The payouts on map pieces are almost NEVER worth what you would pay for an entire map. The lab ray, in my personal opinion is a waste of neopoints. You spend np getting your pets the colour you like and training them up and the lab ray can reduce their levels and other stats significantly. I spent 280,000 recently changing a wocky (WAS a kougra before the lab ray) to a Baby Lupe. I will never fire the lab ray at that pet again. Complete waste of neopoints and time!!!

Tips on Making Neopoints by Owning A Shop

*Number 1 Tip For A Successful Shop - UPGRADE!!!!!!!!!! So maybe I'm a slave to upgrading my shop, but position on the shop maps is EVERYTHING. Once your shop is easy to find, you can charge higher prices, trust me, this is true!!
*Specialise - When shops are small, the best thing you can do is pick a certain type of item and specialise in it. If books, sell EVERY book......or at least as many different books as you can lay your hands on. If grooming products, sell every type of grooming product. People will come back to your shop if they know you are sure to have something they need.
*Buy From Other Shops - The single biggest mistake people make on Neopets is selling items too cheap, they lose all their profit by trying to be the cheapest on the wizard!! Buy the cheapest items on the wizard and sell them a bit dearer... people have started selling items cheaper than the shops do..... what a waste!! Make use of this and buy items people sell too cheap!!
*Sell Things Everyone Needs - Perfect example is food. Everyone needs food and there are many shops you can buy it from. If others aren't smart enough to feed their pets omelette, let them eat cake!! Or ice cream or milkshakes etc One thing everyone on Neopets worries about is their pets health and happiness, make use of this!!
*Quest Items Can Make You Rich - Do a few of each of the quests, see what sort of things they are asking for. The items change regularly, but you will notice things on the shop wizard that are suddenly expensive - its because they are the current quest items!! Get in early, pay attention and find out what is needed. Stock your shop with quest items and sell them at high prices, you make neopoints a lot faster by selling these things.
*Shop Backgrounds and Graphics - One thing - Not everyone has cable, if you have flashing backgrounds or effects in your shop that make it hard to buy items, you WILL lose customers!! My shop takes a long time to load and that is a huge problem for me. That is why I opened some other shops. It was much worse when I was selling all the items in a single shop!!! Your shops are probably a lot smaller, so make sure you keep backgrounds to a minimum and make sure people can easily see your items and prices.
